SCW’s Procurement team have been shortlisted as finalists for two national procurement awards at the 2020 GO UK National Awards. We are finalists in two categories:
• Market Development (Building a Modern Gender Dysphoria Service for Britain)
"The views of patients were central to the review of services and helped shape the development of specifications focused on improving outcomes and patient experience. This work was supported by extensive pro-active engagement and consultation, ensuring that a wide range of people could be involved" Jason Stamp,Independent-Chair, Patient-and-Public-Voice-Assurance-Group-for-Specialised-Commissioning-NHS-England
• Project of the Year (above - £20M value) Redesign of Orthodontic Services across NHS England
"SCW has gone above and beyond expectations including providing input into orthodontic policy decision-making, sharing of best practice across the NHS in England, development of a training programme for evaluators, and a lessons learnt exercise" Emma Wallis, NHS-England, Directorate-of-the-Chief-Operating-Officer
Both short-listings relate to the work undertaken by SCW’s procurement team supporting NHS England’s Direct Commissioning contract.
The award ceremony was due to be held in April 2020 but had to be postponed due to COVID-19. We are pleased to announce that the ceremony celebrating the best of public procurement will now be held virtually on Friday 17 July from 1-3pm.
