Expo 2019, on 4-5 September, is focused on bringing the NHS Long Term Plan (LTP) to life. SCW, together with Midlands and Lancashire, and North East London CSUs, will be sharing their latest integrated solutions to support the health and care sector to achieve the ambitions of the Long Term Plan.
Health and Care Innovation Expo is the biggest NHS-led event of the year. Held every September at Manchester Central, it attracts around 5,000 people from the NHS, social care, local government, the third sector and the commercial sector.
Support Units are playing a crucial role in the evolution of health systems and we will be sharing our joint insights and the collaborative work we have been doing nationally to support primary care network development, digital innovation and NHS workforce on stand 191. We’ll also be promoting the scalable, specialist expertise across broader business and transformation support that we offer.
As well as promoting the collaborative work the support units deliver, SCW will have our subject matter experts on the stand, such as Alison Westmacott, our Director of Primary Care, to talk about how we can support you with PCN Development and the guidance outlined in the recently launched Support Prospectus.
On the stand you’ll be able to explore with our Geographic Information Systems specialist, how you could use GIS maps to bring your plans and proposals to life and support successful decision making. At the same time there will be an opportunity to find out about our latest work on digital enablement and our Integrated Population Analytics
https://www.scwcsu.nhs.uk/services/insights-business-intelligence-new/population-analytics/and other intelligence solutions to support Population Health Management. These specialities form just part of SCW’s integrated offer to support you to deliver people-focused care.

Vanessa McClenaghan, SCW’s Senior Marketing Manager comments “As the NHS Long Term Plan looks to break down the divide between primary, community and acute health services, the support units offer a collaborative approach towards driving this integration. As NHS organisations we retain NHS values and knowledge while applying commercial principles to deliver value for money for healthcare systems. We are ideally placed to support Primary Care Networks (PCN), acute trusts, mental health trusts, Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), community providers, local authorities and Integrated Care Providers (ICP) to deliver their vision for an Integrated Care System. Visit us on stand 191 at #Expo19NHS to gain insights from industry experts and find out how our services can help you to achieve your goals.”
