The first CSU to attain the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation

Awarded in recognition of robust IT security measures in place for our customers.

Building on the success of our Cyber Essentials accreditation, SCW has now achieved the Cyber Essentials Plus certification. Here’s why and what it means for our customers.

The accreditation is in recognition that the technical and procedural controls managed by SCW to maintain the high levels of Cyber Security required within the IT industry have now been independently scrutinised and validated by experts commissioned by the National Cyber Security Centre.

We are proud to be the first CSU to achieve this accreditation which has been achieved well in advance of the Department of Health and Social Care recommendation for all NHS organisations to achieve this by June 2021.

Cyber Essentials is a government-backed and industry-supported scheme concerned with protecting businesses from common cyber threats.  It is mandated for all CSUs by NHS England and demonstrates our commitment to Cyber Security.

Andy Ferrari, Associate Director of IT Strategy and Planning, said:

SCW is proud to demonstrate to our customers and new prospects of the steps we have taken to protect against any future cyber-risks. Becoming the first CSU to attain accreditation really is a testament to the hard work the IT department have undertaken.
