Our CHIS data informatics team has produced a report to compare vaccination uptake and timely delivery before the COVID-19 pandemic and during.

Working closely with CCGs in different areas, the COVID-19 Impact Report highlights the effect of the pandemic on three key routine childhood vaccines:

  • 6-in-1 vaccine (Hexavalent) – due at 8 weeks old

  • MMR 1 – due at 12 months

  • DTaP/IPV – due at 3 yrs 4 months.

The report monitors the number of children who received immunisations, the timeliness of those vaccines after the due date, as well as the time taken for practices to notify CHIS that the vaccine was given.

The results are key to identifying areas that need improvement to ensure children are receiving the necessary protection.
