We’re thrilled to be awarded highly commended for the ‘HCSA Cross-Functional Collaboration Award’ at this year’s Healthcare Supply Association Awards.
The HCSA National Awards celebrate excellence in procurement & supply chain departments across the four home nations, showcasing best practice and achievement in procurement management and governance.
This shortlisting recognises the extraordinary collaboration led by South, Central & West with SystemC/Graphnet Alliance and Synertec for the Immunisation Management Service.
The Immunisation Management Service was designed to be at the core of the national vaccination programme for both flu and COVID-19 working hand-in-glove alongside NHS England, Public Health England (PHE), and NHSD/NHSX to design the system to drive uptake of vaccination.
The Immunisation Management Service supports the enhanced winter flu programme and the national COVID-19 vaccination programme by supporting and optimising the uptake of vaccinations for the nation by:
- Sending national letters, emails or SMS messages to invite and remind individuals to book their vaccinations.
- Providing regional support and improving immunisation uptake service using operational data to show uptake, and analysis using data such as age, deprivation and ethnicity and identifying outliers.
- Providing an outbound call centre, which uses analysis gathered by the immunisation uptake team on vaccination data, identifies areas of low uptake and makes follow-up outbound telephone calls to those who haven't been vaccinated.
This work builds on our existing successful Child Health Immunisation Services, transforming and improving vaccination uptake.
