Oxfordshire CCG (OCCG), Oxford University Hospitals FT (OUH), Oxford Health FT, and SCW are celebrating our shared success in the Diabetes Care Initiative of the Year category at the HSJ Value Awards. The award was in recognition of the development of the diabetes dashboard, an initiative that uses data to improve the care of people with diabetes across Oxfordshire.
From October 2021 everyone over the age of 40 will be able to get a free blood pressure check at their local pharmacy. This comes as the result of a successful pilot programme to test case-finding for hypertension in community pharmacies.

Did you know...? Around 800,000 people die worldwide by suicide every year, that’s 1 person every 40 seconds. For each suicide, there are more than 20 suicide attempts (WHO). Men aged 45-49 and women aged 50-54 had the highest suicide rates in England and Wales in 2019. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in 15-29-year-olds (Samaritans).
Over the past year, the SCW IT service desk has been working towards the industry-standard Service Desk Institute (SDI) accreditation. In August the team were proud to achieve an excellent score and graded as 'Proactive'.
